You're welcome to email me any tips, suggestions , and "site" observations. If you encounter problems, please email me and include what your type of modem, platform, processor speed, browser type and version are. I work on a MAC G4/500MHz/1.5G RAM and have an ADSL fast "oh, so fast" access modem line. I use both Navigator 7 and Internet Explorer 5. The site looks best in Explorer 5.0! I also have a new iMac OSX, a much more stable operating system. Remember this is a basic basic site and is a work in progress....eventually I'll do a "Flash" site if I don't kick the bucket from lack of sleep! This site was born May 19, 2001, just 2 days after opening the Adobe® GOLIVE box. It is a metamorphic process. I still don't know how to "code"—and I am enjoying the fact, I don't have to—with products like Adobe GOLIVE, LIVE MOTION, IMAGEREADY & of course my pet, ADOBE ® PHOTOSHOP®!
03/18/2006-Well it's been a few years and I have to confess I've learned some HTML and I do think it is a good idea for anyone who is serious about web design to have a good understanding of this language. Although, my journey started out with GoLive, it has really helped to know HTML, too. I think it was easier for me to learn HTML because of experience in GoLive--it gave me a point of reference!
Adobe® Photoshop® has taken over my life. Since my introduction to this mammoth program in 1998, I have done little else but plow through Gaussian blurred fields seeking and striving towards excellence and understanding. In the past few years my knowledge of Visual Communications has expanded, as has my can, from sitting on my Photoshop® throne 24-7! Actually, I do get up and walk around when I am teaching Adobe Photoshop at Nashville State Technical Community College—my second home. I love what I do and I love to share it with whomever will listen. I've been teaching Photoshop since the summer of 1999 at NSTI and I simply love it. Every semester brings in an eager bunch of potential addicts of Adobe® Photoshop®. This is an addiction that serves up stunning and productive results—unlike other addictions that rob you of your mind and health! The Surgeon General's Report on this product has yet to mandate WARNING labels on boxes of Adobe® Photoshop®—but that's not to say it couldn't happen! Adobe® Photoshop® is my forever new boyfriend—he's HUGE, HABIT FORMING & KEEPS GETTING BETTER ALL THE TIME—and there's enough there to share with everyone!
Besides the "boyfriend," I have a husband of 26 years. No, he's not 26 years...we've been married for 26 years! Brett is a wonderful man to put up with Adobe and me! We have three very artistic children. Two daughters, Shayna & Nora in their 20's and a son, Zac 16 years old. My son Zac is the one who tagged me "Photoshop Mama" a couple of years ago. Our children were the models for some of my images in Gallery I & the Photo Retouch Gallery. —12/01/2002
ADOBE ROCKS!
Adobe has the best products! I am not a web designer—yet! So don't judge this site too harshly. The only HTML I know is http:// and MAILTO: and I absolutely refuse to learn another language at this stage of my life (it might make my "boyfriend" jealous). I bought Adobe® GoLive® and it only took 2 days to put up the basic site —without knowing HTML. I've NEVER done a website and this was pretty painless with Adobe GoLive which works beautifully with "you know who" ....yes my boyfriend, Adobe® Photoshop®!
